KTM
Pokhara (lake, with temple on mini island, stunning view of Annapurna range on a mist-free day)
Chitwan National Park (wild animals wandering through village, including elephant, rhino, crocs in river.  A magical highlight! Do a walking safari, dugout canoe ride, and bathe with the elephants)
Lumbini (sacred birthplace of Buddha, includes a coloss of monasteries and red-robed monks)
KTM

Thailand
(We had a month of glorious beaching in Thailand, travelling by tourist buses)
Bangkok (Asian megacity, a great spot to buy gadgets, fake branded gear and be hustled)
Ko Lak (sea-side resort ville, white sands for kilometers, site of memorials for the 2004 tsunami)
Surin Island Marine Reserve (very remote islands, great snorkelling and camping, sea gypsy island)
Ko Lanta (amazing island, white sands, restaurants right on the beach, hire a scooter and ride about)
